The Mekons are the punk band for those of us who value honesty over pose; the Americana band for thsoe with a sense of humour and feellings about making the world a better place one person at a time. They have are part of a community in the band and in Chicago where a some of them live after forming in Leeds. They are transatlantic; they move between genres.
